Together, we are creating a vibrant and inclusive living environment where generations come together to support and learn from one another, fostering mutual understanding, empathy, and connection.

We recognize the growing issue of loneliness among elderly individuals in Europe, as well as the housing challenges faced by young students pursuing education in their university destinations. In response, we have a program aimed at fostering intergenerational connections and addressing housing needs. 

Our program pairs elderly individuals seeking companionship and assistance with students in search of suitable accommodation near their study destinations. Through this mutually beneficial arrangement, elderly residents provide affordable housing options while offering invaluable companionship and support to their younger counterparts. 

In return, young people contribute to the household through various means besides paying rent, such as assistance with daily tasks, companionship, and cultural exchange. This symbiotic living arrangement not only addresses the pressing housing needs of students but also alleviates the loneliness experienced by many elderly individuals in our communities. 

Home sharing is not a new idea. We are part of a global movement of home sharing organizations (see below).

As a non-profit foundation, we are here to facilitate this mutually beneficial relationship in a way that is safer and more accessible from the beginning till the end.
